What is B Complex?

B complex is the collective name given to the group of vitamins that come under the umbrella of “B”. These are water soluble vitamins that play a vital part in the functioning of the body and also its growth and development. There are eight different vitamins in this group and their functions are different but interrelated. In the earlier days, the entire B complex group was considered to be a single vitamin but later studies and researches were able to determine and isolate each of these compounds and named as per their functions.

Since each of the vitamins perform different functions, a regulated course of B complex can help resolve many health related problems. Doctors recommend a balanced diet rich in Vitamin B compounds to maintain health. However, it is very difficult to obtain foods that contain all vitamin B compounds and therefore the diet will need to include different foods, often in large quantities. This can prove to be an impractical way of obtaining the daily requirements. B complex is available in capsule and tablet forms in the market and can be taken on a daily basis. They not only supplement the daily needs of the body, they also form a reliable source of vitamin B compounds which in their natural form are easily fragmented.
